The "Proven Quality Croatia" certificate will be displayed on as many as 62 products from Vindija's range of milk and dairy products, including ‘z bregov fresh and goat milk, ‘z bregov fermented functional products, Protein Skyr yoghurts, ‘z bregov fresh cheeses, hard and noble Vindija cheeses, and many others. The national quality system called "Proven Quality Croatia" established this mark of excellence in order to guarantee consumers the highest quality, safety and exclusively Croatian origin of the products they buy. In addition to certificates for milk and dairy products, this system also includes certificates for poultry meat, fruit, vegetables and table eggs.

"The national quality marking system ‘Proven Quality Croatia’ is a guarantee of the controlled conditions of production and use of the main raw material created in Croatia in all production processes, from start to finish. In this context, on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia, I especially praise Vindija as a local leader in the food industry, who already carries this label for poultry meat, and from now on also for milk and dairy products, which are also created from Croatian raw materials and with special controlled conditions and methods of production. Of course, a vital role is played by local small producers, who provide raw materials of the highest quality and authenticity, which we greatly appreciate and value. Finally, it is our pleasure to praise Vindija for the strict control of all production processes, poultry without the use of antibiotics, and numerous other high standards that prove strong capacities for adopting new technologies and the continuous improvement of quality. Following the above, I am personally convinced that the company will continue to make strides on the international market, and we will continue to support their efforts," said the Minister of Agriculture, Marija Vučković.

"Following the ‘Proven Quality Croatia’ certificate, which was awarded to Koka d.d. for poultry meat at the beginning of this year, the award of this valuable certificate of excellence for Vindija's dairy range additionally confirms our role in national food production. In addition to proving commitment to the highest standards in all production processes, this label, which from now on our dairy products will also carry, further emphasises Vindija's position as an exemplary local producer and as a community that is fully dedicated to creating only the highest quality and 100% Croatian products, focusing primarily on the health and satisfaction of consumers," said Nenad Klepač, President of Vindija’s Management Board.

Vindija actively participated in the preparation of the "Proven Quality" Product Specification for milk and dairy products, which prescribes the key stages of production of cow, sheep and goat milk and dairy products, special product characteristics, mandatory documentation at certain stages of production and provides a description of the traceability system. The Specification applies to milk and dairy products where milk is the main ingredient, and it indicates top quality products, additional production control, and confirms that the products are entirely produced in the Republic of Croatia. The Specification also sets higher standards in the market, and in addition increases transparency and traceability during production. Besides this, the certificate provides a credible basis for additional consumer trust thanks to regular and independent controls of all stakeholders in the production chain and creates a prerequisite for achieving better recognition and promotion of agricultural and food products in terms of quality and consumer protection.

Continuation of a series of recognised quality certificates

As the only local food company that currently stands out with as many as two "Proven Quality Croatia" certificates, in March 2024 Group member Koka d.d. became one of the first local companies to be presented with the highly important internationally recognised certificate "PRODUCED WITHOUT THE USE OF ANTIBIOTICS" awarded by the certification company DNV Adriatica d.o.o. based on the STP 80 specification for production without antibiotics. In addition, the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food/Ministry of Agriculture awarded Vindija with the label "MILK OF CROATIAN FARMS", and Cekin chicken with the label "MEAT OF CROATIAN FARMS - born and bred in the Republic of Croatia", which guarantee the authenticity of Croatian products with documented traceability from stable to table.

The production process of the entire Vindija Group strictly follows the valid regulations of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union and is certified according to a number of relevant safety and quality standards, including the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, HALAL, KOSHER, IFS Food, BRCGS, and AOECS for gluten-free products.

A further outstanding accomplishment is the mark for the national project of the Croatian Institute of Public Health entitled “Healthy Living”, which Vindija and Koka have been proudly bearing since 2021.
