At the beginning of the year, Vindija Group signed the Diversity Charter, a European Union initiative introduced in all 27 member states, and voluntarily committed to promoting diversity and equal opportunities in the workplace, as well as actively implementing diversity and inclusion policies. The Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR), a business association fostering sustainable economic development, is responsible for this initiative in Croatia. Alongside the formal signing of the Charter, Vindija Group is currently developing an action plan to fulfil its commitments.
“Commitment to a sustainable production and business system, with corporate social responsibility as a key component, has been a fundamental factor in our past and future success. Signing the Diversity Charter within the context of human resource management is a natural step forward for us – it formally acknowledges and reinforces the values embedded in Vindija Group’s foundations from the very beginning: respect for employee rights, zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind, and adherence to the principles of corporate social responsibility,” stated Sanjin Franković, Director of Human Resources at Vindija Group.
The importance of the Diversity Charter is evident on multiple levels. The Charter itself emphasizes that, in the context of globalization and social change, the ability to embrace and understand diversity is an essential prerequisite for successful collaboration with clients and business partners. Moreover, HR PSOR highlights on its website that diversity in human resource management strategies is particularly important in dynamic economies, where companies must continuously adapt to new challenges and evolving societal expectations.
We take pride in this step forward in strengthening the social dimension of our sustainable business practices, reaffirming our commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment.
